We do this like an R&B standard. The bass lines I use are similar to what I
might play for an Aretha tune Chain of Fools or Mustang Sally or something
like that. Not exactly like those tunes... but think MoTown. I like putting
that spin on this tune, which is what it was missing I think in the
Hillsongs version, IMO. Plus we rolled about 15 bpm off of the tempo and
just groove it with a lot of R&B guitar work.

Our Minister of Music just emailed me to say that we will be playing My
Redeemer Lives in the near future. If it's the song I'm thinking' of it
has a really prominent (and lively) bass. I've not played it before.
