Did you complete your field training (orientation course)?
I know a bunch of folk over in PNG - say "hi" to John Hatton, he works on
the CARLA software tools project. If you ever meet James Hafford, say
"hi" to him too - he's a translator on one of the many smaller islands,
and plays a Warwick bass. Also meet Brian Chapaitis (does a ton of
computer stuff) when he gets back to PNG - he's currently on furlough in
the northeastern U.S. I know their wives too, so say "hi" to them as
well. Helen Chapaitis is one of the medical staff, as well as Jeff & Linda
Stout ("hi!").
Are you staying in Ukarumpa, or in a smaller village? Can you get plugged
into some of the various music/praise groups? What do you think of PNG
tok pisin praise songs? 🙂
