There are probably people more qualified than me, but I'll give it a stab,
given that I've lived in ABQ and spent a lot of time with my cousin who
lives in Jersey.

The bad as per my cousin: The HIGHEST auto insurance in the nation. And not
even close apparently. My cousin tried to warn me about driving there and
how bad the drivers were, but I didn't find it any worse than ABQ. Of
course, in the late 80's, if you drove every day in ABQ, you had a 100%
chance of being in a wreck, according to a study done there.

That being said, everything will be more expensive than ABQ, which isn't
exactly cheap either. What part of Jersey? Big difference in housing prices
between areas close to NYC like the suburbs of Newark and the places closer
to Philly. Also big differences between the culture.
