RE: {video display}Split screen/single screen on remote

Posted by: crann <crann@...>

Howdy,

Here's a "recall" question (and it doesn't involve actors, impersonators,
or wannabes)....

Does anyone recall the thread a good while back on what software and
projection equipment that folks were using for showing lyrics during song
service? Somewhere in that discussion, from the vague and deep recesses of
my recollection, someone mentioned something about "using the proper video
card, you can have a split screen on your computer monitor, but project
only one of those screens." If this sounds familiar, or if you know the
answer, I'd appreciate any/all info!

Specifics: My brother runs a camp, (http://www.screamineagleoutfitters.com) and
he uses PowerPoint to do lyrics and slide presentations. He'd like to be
able to use some sort of accompaniment software, like Band in a Box, in
situations where he doesn't have musician's to back up the singing, but
he's not sure how he could keep the lyrics up on the monitors (rather than
projection screens) if he needed to, say, repeat a section of the song
because folks were really worshipping to a particular song.

And, BTW, due to the sound-shaping knowledge that I've gained on this list,
I was able to help him get some really nasty squeaks and rumbles out (as in
cast out) of his sound system this past summer - he was tickled pink!

Thanks for the help!
