What killed was I had to do a gig out of town (New Jersey I think - I live in Virginia) about three days after it happened. I practiced for two days straight using my ring finger to pluck along with my index finger. Worked out pretty well.
Anyway, I'll be praying for you to reach out for other tecniques as your finger heals.
