Trip is just that- a TRIP!! Great singer/songwriter as well as a monster
bassist. I don't know Atomic Opera- are they prog? I'll check them out...

Atomic Opera comes from the King's X & Galactic Cowboys area of Texas - matter
of fact, they are all friends (from what I understand) and Sam Taylor -
produced K's X - produced their first record. Atomic Opera has a groovy, hard
rock feel to them, down-tuned of course - and was primarily a Christian
oriented band. They were on Metal Blade for a couple of records, now I think
they may be on Frank Hart's label - he's the founder of Feverdream records -
http://www.feverdreamrecords.com - but that may just be some of Franks solo stuff -
on the main page now is Trip - his new record is on Feverdream.

The bio stuff is really interesting, as they say:
"Atomic Opera is not a Christian Rock Band. (Oh, my gosh! What could you
possible mean by that? Either they are trying to "hide" it so they can
seem "cool" or else they are "liberal!")

Wrong again Reindeer Rector!

Atomic Opera is made up of four Christian men who have as their chief end to
worship God and enjoy Him forever. We strongly believe in Biblical, orthodox
Christianity as professed by the Apostle and Nicene Creed. We attempt to live
our lives and make our music by these same standards."

I think that's pretty cool.

If you haven't heard Atomic Opera - check them out - I can't wait to hear the
new stuff with Trip - he rocks. AO is one of my favorite bands - if you can't
tell - I've been listening to them for quite a while.
