School is up and running and time for us to get everything back on track.
It has been a great summer here and we hate to see it end.
We hope you enjoyed your summer and now as school is back that you will be extra careful when driving watching for children walking and for school buses.

"School Bus Ride"

It was the first day of school, after summer vacation and time for me to pick up the children in my school bus and take them home again.

After I had made the complete run that afternoon, one little boy remained on the bus.

Thinking he had simply missed his stop, I started driving slowly back through the neighborhood and asked him to be sure to let me know if any of the houses or people looked familiar. The boy shook his head whenever I asked him if he recognized a person or place.

After the second unsuccessful tour of the area, I started back to the school to ask for his address. When we arrived, the child got off the bus and started walking away.

"Wait!" I called. "We have to go inside and find out where you live."

"I live right there," he said, pointing to a house across the street.
"I just always wanted to ride in a school bus."

10. As soon as you receive your textbook, page through it scratching each picture and sniffing it.

9. Wear earmuffs. Every few minutes ask the instructor to speak up a bit.

8. Squint thoughtfully at the instructor. In the middle of his or her remarks, raise your hand. Say he or she looks familiar and ask if they've ever been on an episode of "Friends."

7. Speak only in rhymes.

6. Have a friend bring cymbals. Inform the class you are Belgian royalty and have your friend clash the cymbals each time your name is spoken.

5. Address the instructor as "your Excellency."

4. Sing your questions.

3. Sit in the front, sniff a lot while looking around, and finally say, "Okay, who's to blame?"

2. Say, "WOW!" after every sentence in the instructor's lecture.

AND THE NUMBER ONE THING to DO ON the FIRST DAY of SCHOOL?

"SCHOOL"

A little girl had just finished her first week of school.

"I'm just wasting my time," she said to her mother.

"I can't read, I can't write and they won't let me talk!"

"OPINIONS"

On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a note from his mother. The note read, "The opinions expressed by this child are not necessarily those of his parents."
