Ticket Purchase Monday

"Ticket Purchase"

A couple with three children waited in line at San Francisco's Pier 41 to purchase tickets for a boat trip to Alcatraz.

Others watched with varying degrees of sympathy and irritation as the young children fidgeted, whined, and punched one another. The frazzled parents reprimanded them to no avail.

Finally they reached the ticket window.

"Five tickets, please," the father said. "Two round trip, three one way."

"Too Difficult"

Two bachelors were talking. One said to the other, "I got a
cookbook the other day, but I can't do any of the recipes."

"Why? Are they too difficult?" asked the second.

"No," the first replied. "It's just that they all start with
the same thing: 'Take a clean dish...'"

"First Graders"

A first grade school teacher in Virginia had twenty-five students in her
class.  She  presented each child in her classroom the first half of a
well  known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb.

It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders.   Their
insight may surprise you. While reading, keep in mind that these are
first  graders, 6-year-olds, because the last one is a classic!
