Which Sermon

One beautiful Sunday morning, a priest announced to his congregation:
"My good people, I have here in my hands three sermons...a $100 sermon
that lasts five minutes, a $50 sermon that lasts fifteen minutes, and a
$10 sermon that lasts a full hour. "Now, we'll take the collection and
see which one I'll deliver."

*** Sweet Grandma ***
When my three-year-old son opened the birthday
gift from his grandmother and found a water pistol.
He squealed with delight and headed for the
nearest sink. I was not so pleased. I turned to
Mom and said, "I'm surprised at you. Don't you
remember how we used to drive you crazy with
water guns?"
Mom smiled sweetly and then replied, "I remember."

*** Palm ***
A young girl, an ROTC cadet, was ordered to Fort Indiantown
Gap in Pennsylvania for field exercises. Since it was the
Easter season, she requested permission to attend church
services on Palm Sunday. The troops were in the field at
the time, so the commanding officer agreed only if there
happened to be a church in the vicinity of their maneuvers.
When a small country church was seen along the road,she
entered quietly, hoping to be unnoticed in spite of
her leaf-and-branch camouflage. But all eyes turned upon
her as a small child cried in amazement, "Look, somebody
came as a palm!"
