Dear friends,

Scripture is more effective than any words that I can ever
say. My brother in Christ, Larry Davies, likes to remember this
passage as he deals with his own issues and as he prays for
others. I happened to spot this on Wednesday's Daily Manna. So
I'd like to offer this scripture to you today, as is.

These words were written by the apostle Paul in his second letter
to the church at Corinth. In his first letter, Paul had many
words of encouragement, but also some admonishment for some of
the things that had been going on. The words that follow are
part of the opening to the second letter. I believe these same
words are appropriate as we encourage one another each day in
prayer, in acts of kindness, and in service to one another. May
the Name of Jesus Christ be honored, not only by our outward
deeds, but by every thought and attitude that we humbly give to
Him.

Tomorrow is U.S. Pride Day. Everyone wear U.S. colors. Try to
be wearing as much red white and blue as you can. Send this

country into it. Let's show those watching us that we are a
