Word for Today, Fri, 01 Mar 2002: An Important Commandment

Posted by: masinick <masinick@...>

Dear friends,

The Bible says:

Ephesians 3:17-18 - I pray that you may have your roots and
foundation in love, so that you, together with all God's people,
may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and
deep, is Christ's love. (GNB)

The Bible also says: "My command is this: Love each other as I
have loved you." (John 15:12, NIV) and "This is my command: Love
each other." (John 15:17, NIV)

There are many passages about "what is love", "who is my neighbor",
and so forth. They are not hard to find in either the old or new
testaments of the Bible, but they are particularly easy to find
in the Gospel of John and the letters of John, as depicted
above.

Like the message below, I like using Email. When I cannot reach
people directly, I share my heart with them online. So I send
you all this message, hoping that you will pray and encourage one
another throughout the week.

Your Brother in Christ,
Brian

Here are today's Lightverses:

I love email. There is just something about going to the computer
and checking it to find an email from a friend that lives far
away or a special someone just wanting to say hey. Email is fast
and can usually get there in just seconds! Getting email just
somehow makes my day! It's alot like Paul when he was writing a
letter to his friends. He encouraged them right from the start!
Check out Phillipians 1:3! Is there someone you need to encourage
today? Who needs to hear your voice or get your email? Just a
simple hello or I'm thinking of you can make a huge difference in
someone's life!

What is God saying to you?

How can you apply that to your life?
