Word for Today, Fri, 14 Jun 2002: An Answer From Heaven

Posted by: masinick <masinick@...>

Dear friends,

I sent out a message to you a while back containing a plea... a
hopeless plea... for life. I think that Margaret was reaching
out. She sent me an urgent plea, and she sent the Sowing Seeds
of Faith team an urgent plea that came out about the same time.
I sent her a message immediately when I read the message, almost
afraid it would be too late or too little, but trusting in God,
nevertheless. I sent mail to Larry Davies, but at about the same
time, he was composing an emergency message of his own and trying
to locate Margaret.

Well, I'd like you to read this message because there is hope.
Margaret is still with us, she's feeling better, and doing
better, too. I pray that her recovery will be permanent. Please
continue to remember Margaret in your prayers, but also say a
prayer of thanks and praise to God for remembering a lost and
lonely person, who matters a great deal to God.

If you are feeling at all like Margaret, or you know anyone who
may feel like that, don't wait! Take action, encourage that
person, pray, and also put some action into your faith. It can
and will make a difference, perhaps even an eternal difference!

Your Brother in Christ,
Brian

Sowing Seeds of Faith... Update

Last week the following special email went out to you.

-----Original Message-----
From: margaretnorman@yahoo.com [mailto:margaretnorman@yahoo.com]

Dear Pastor Davies, A few minutes ago I asked that your prayer force
pray for me about wanting to die. I don't have time now to wait to be
printed on a prayer list. I need to die tonight to be closer to
God. My husband is requiring me to see my psychiatrist at 1:45
tomorrow... Yours in Christ, Margaret (angellove10772@yahoo.com)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since that time, more than a thousand emails were sent to Margaret
Norman as literally thousands prayed for her. I have a miracle to
report...

Margaret is alive and doing better. Sowing Seeds Ministry found her
last week on the same day emails were sent to you. Later that
afternoon, our Associate Pastor, George Hatmaker was able to reach her
on the phone and at the same time send the local Deputy Sheriff to
check on her. He picked her up and put her in protective
custody. Margaret has been in the hospital for the last week and is
now home and doing much better...

Thousands prayed. More than a thousand wrote. Hundreds called. Thank
you.

Here is her latest email... There is another miracle within it...

Dear Rev. and Mrs. Hatmaker: I want to thank you for all your
caring and prayers. The sheriff you sent to help me had an
ambulance bring me to the nearest hospital in Clinton, Iowa. He
also called the firemen to come and start pumping water out of
the house. Since I was admitted as suicidal, he probably wasn't
able to tell you that. I have been in the hospital all week and
was able to return home with the promise I would attend classes
there from 9 until 2 everyday until the doctor is convinced the
depression medicine is working. I am also on antibiotics for
respiratory and ear infections. I had all the pills here to kill
myself Monday night when messages started coming from all over
the world. I would be reading one and it would pop up that I had
10 new messages. Right now there are over 1000 e-mails on my
computer which stopped receiving them Sunday because of an
overload! I had no idea God had so many hi-tech angels to care
for me. Even though I! had a tape going through my mind that I
had to kill myself, all the messages were keeping me alive by
telling me not to do it. I received such awesome prayers! I don't
know how to say thank you for sending help when you did. The
electricity and phone were both out when the call came from the
sheriff's office and from you that there was help coming. I was
in shock in knowing how the phone could be repaired when the
water was coming faster and faster. I hope I can talk to you
again. I want to be able to have faith and pray like that! I
don't know how to thank you for saving my life. I will be
grateful to you forever. Love, Margaret Norman

Thank you for your special part in a miracle...

...more than a thousand emails kept her alive while we searched.
...how were we able to find her so fast?
...how was George Hatmaker able to get through when storms knocked out
the telephone?

...how was the timing so perfect?

Thank you Lord for helping us all see a miracle. Our love and prayers
go out to Margaret Norman and may God continue to protect and heal
her. She has been saved for a special ministry. May she find it and
continue as a servant of God. Thank you God for once again showing us
all your awesome love!

Thank you all... Larry Davies
