Believers must never, of course, compromise doctrines or principles that are clearly biblical. But to humbly defer to one another on secondary issues is a mark of spiritual strength, not weakness. It is a mark of maturity and love that God highly honors, because it promotes and preserves harmony in His church.

What Do You Believe?

Dear friends,

Not everything we see, not everything we hear, not everything we experience is good, right and true.  There are some things we can trust and we can believe.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that "16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

We believe the Bible by faith.  You can either choose to believe God at His Word, which is by faith.  Moreover, the Bible says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the Word of God, which is the Bible.  It is by faith that we are saved from our failures - the things that the Bible calls sin.

So the question remains, what do you believe?
