Word for Today, Tue, 30 Apr 2002: Led By The Spirit

I copied the following scripture verses and brief prayer out of a
message from Karen Weber's Christian Thought for the Day, (which you
can view online as shown in the Web page reference below). Though
both the thought and the prayer are quite short, there is a LOT in
them. My prayer is that our lives are led, not by our own whims, but
by God's Holy Spirit. We need not use lots of words, so today, this
is it.

Verse: Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the
Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each

Prayer: Dear Lord, teach me to desire peace for others as fervently as
I desire it for myself. Never let me become complacent as long as
peace is lacking. Amen.
