Word for Today, Wed, 02, Jul 2003: Today's Encouragement

Posted by: masinick <masinick@...>

Dear friends,

I decided to share a different resource, one that comes from a
Web page location that I often use, http://www.gospelcom.net/.
This particular message comes from
http://www.gospelcom.net/asgm/te.php3, and it simply consists of
short, affirming words straight from scripture.

Don't you think that's plenty for today? The Word says things
far more succinctly than I do, so let's carefully examine the
four affirmations below.

Dear Lord,

I appreciate the resources You have given us and the way in
which You are always available Thank You for making Your Word
accessible to me. Amen.

Your Brother in Christ,
Brian

Today's Encouragement

JULY 2

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD'S
purpose that prevails.

But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of
his heart through all generations

...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return
to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the
purpose for which I sent it.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those
who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us,
who can be against us? Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus,
who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the
right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Today's Encouragement from the New International Version is
selected from Proverbs 19:21; Psalm 33:11; Isaiah 55:11; and
Romans 8:28,31,34.
