God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Meekness, gentleness, longsuffering, faith, patience, are all mentioned in the Word of God as fruits of the Spirit... Never do these graces shine so brightly as they do in the sick room. They enable many a sick person to preach a silent sermon, which those around him never forget. Would you adorn the doctrine you profess? Would you make your Christianity beautiful in the eyes of others?

If you look at the current Poll on the web page, the question posed is
Which did Jesus teach most about?
The wrong behavior of notable religious leaders
Tithing
Being charitable towards others
The local temple’s new building program
How easy it is to get to Heaven
Loving God
Fruits of the Spirit
How beliefs of the Jews were better than Gentiles
That wealth and faith go hand in hand
How God is really just a glorified man
Quickly scanning through the book of Matthew, I was impressed to see that Jesus didn’t spend most of his time teaching on any of the proposed solutions to the Poll.
Instead of teaching about tithing, he told his disciples “You received without paying, give without pay.” To rich people, he said “sell all you have and give to the poor”.
More than telling us to love God, he focused much more on showing us how God loves us!
Jesus demonstrated with his own life how faith and selflessness go hand in hand. He rarely touched money.
Jesus never boasted about his gifts – the power given to him by God. He exhausted himself in their proper use.
In fact, Jesus spent the most time teaching mankind how to live life correctly, so we would be in the good grace of God and man, when possible.
