BASIC R.C. BELIEF Hyper dulia is an inferior type of veneration given to Mary. It is below Latria (reserved for God malone) and dulia (for the rest of the saints.)

CHRISTIAN COMMENT Although this technical form of devotion is taught theologically, there is no practical difference between the veneration given to Mary and the worship given to God.
