Think about this for a second… How much money can you make from someone who is content with what they have?
Today's economy spins on the concept of dissatisfaction. It's very lucrative. If I can get you dissatisfied with what you have, I can:
- get you to hire a lawyer to divorce your wife
- get you to buy the newest Smart Phone or computer
- get you to buy a different (bigger, faster, newer) house, car, etc – and get you to take out a loan beyond your means to buy whatever IT is
- get you to abandon a dull religion that doesn't seem to pay back, for something you want NOW
- get you to begin the latest fad diet
- get you to vote for an elected official that promises MORE
- the list goes on…
Almost everyone makes money from your misery. But sometimes, there's no money involved – the destructive nature of dissatisfaction leaves people emotionally, spiritually, and physically bankrupt just the same.
What's wrong with peace and contentment? How is it that some of the end results of salvation have become boring to people?
We'd rather be miserable in pursuit of the unattainable, than content with what God has provided? A life of dissatisfaction and destruction for a life of peace and joy. Hmmm…which sounds better to you?
Jeremiah 29:11

John 10:10

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
