A really good book and great  biscuits! Sift the flour, baking powder,
and salt together. Rub the  shortening into this, add the milk, mix
lightly but well.  Do not  knead. Roll out 1 to 2 inches thick, cut
into biscuits and bake in a  quick oven [450] about 10 minutes.
