PesachShabbat morning havdalah

Messianic Pesach/Passover Seder.

Didn’t get time to put in all the translituration, and explainations, and it is short, but should be complete enough for those who’d like to hold there own. The time is Wed.4/19/89 right before sunset for beginning this year, and Thurs. 4/20/89 right before sunset the time to begin the second night seder.
.
Messianic Pesach Seder:
{abridged Passover Service}
.
Brechat Haner, Kindling Of Holy Day Candles: {found in Erev Shabbat home service};{but, substitute “festival/[yom tov]” for the word ‘Shabbat].
.
Kiddush, First Cup: The Cup Of Blessing: Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohanu Melech ha-olam borae pree hagafen. Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Who creates the fruit of the vine.
.
Urchatz, Washing Of The Hands:
Wash your hands but do not say the blessing. .
Karpas, Dipping Of The Parsley:
{the head of the house takes some parsley or chervil, dips it into saltwater, and distributes it to all present saying…} Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Creator of the fruits of the earth.
.
Yachutz, Breaking Of The Middle Matzah: {then he takes the middle Matzah and breaks it in two, leaves one half between the two whole ones and puts the other half under the cloth for the “Afikomen”.}
.
Maggid, The Story Of Passover:
{he then elevates the dish containing the matzahs, and all at the table take hold thereof and say…}
This is the bread of affliction which our ancestors ate in the land of Egypt; let all those who are hungry, enter and eat thereof; and all who are in distress, come and celebrate the Passover. At present we celebrate it here, but next year we hope to celebrate it in the land of Israel. This year we are servants here, but next year we hope to be freemen in the land of Israel.
.
Ma-Nishtanah, The Four Questions:
{fill the cups with wine the second time. The youngest present then asks The Four Questions…}
Wherefore is this night distinguished from all other nights? Any other night we may eat either unleavened or leavened bread, but on this night only unleavened bread; all other nights we may eat any species of herbs, but this night only bitter herbs; all other nights we do not dip even once, but on this night twice; all other nights we eat and drink either sitting or reclined, but on this night we all of us recline. .
Makkot, The Second Cup: The Cup Of Plagues: These are the ten plagues, which the Most Holy, blessed be He, brought on the Egyptians in Egypt:
{As each of the 10 plagues is read, a drop of wine is poured from the cup.} BLOOD
FLIES
VERMIN
FROGS
PESTILENCE
BOILS
HAIL
LOCUSTS
DARKNESS
SLAYING OF THE FIRST BORN
.
READ: EXODUS 12:1-14.
.
DAYENU
{We would have been satisfied}{everyone joins in singing of Dayenu} .
If He had merely rescued us from Egypt, but had not punished the Egyptians. DAYENU
If He had merely punished the Egyptians, but had not destroyed their gods. DAYENU
If He had merely destroyed their gods, but had not slain their first born. DAYENU
If He had merely slain their first born, but had not given us their property.
DAYENU
If He had merely given us their property, but had not split the sea for us. DAYENU
If He had merely split the sea for us, but had not brought us through on dry ground.
DAYENU
If He had merely brought us through on dry ground, but had not drowned our oppressors.
DAYENU
If He had merely drowned our oppressors, but had not supplied us in the desert for forty years.
DAYENU
If He had merely supplied us in the desert for forty years, but had not fed us with manna.
DAYENU
If He had merely fed us with manna, but had not given us the Shabbat. DAYENU
If He had merely given us the Shabbat, but had not brought us to Mount Sinai.
DAYENU
If He had merely brought us to Mount Sinai, but had not given us the Torah. DAYENU
If He had merely given us the Torah, but had not brought us to the land of Israel.
DAYENU
If He had merely brought us to the land of Israel, but had not built us the Temple.
DAYENU
We would have been satisfied, it would have been enough. .
THE HALLEL, The Praise:
{Psalms 113-114, responsive reading}
.
LEADER-113:1, ALL-113:2, LEADER-113:3, ALL-113:4-6, LEADER-113:7-8, ALL-113:9, LEADER-114:1-2, ALL-114:3-6, LEADER-114:7-8
.
The Second Cup Is Raised, And All Recite The Following: .
Truly, we can say Hallelujah for the great redemption which God has wrought on our behalf; redemption at a terrific price; in Egypt, the death of the firstborn. Redemption from sin, by the death of God’s Son. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” .
Kiddush over wine,
Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohanu Melech ha-olam borae pree hagafen. Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Who creates the fruit of the vine.
.
RACHATZ, Washing Of The Hands:
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe Who has sanctified us with His commandments and in the blood of Yeshua the Messiah, and commanded us concerning the washing of hands.
.
{Take the two whole matzahs and the broken one and say the following…} .
HAMOTSI-{found in Erev Shabbat home Service} Blessed art Thou, O Lord our God, that bringeth forth Bread from the earth. Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe Who has sanctified us with His commandments and in the blood of Yeshua the Messiah, and commanded us to eat unleaven bread.
.
MAZOR, Take Some Bitter Herbs:
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe Who has sanctified us with His commandments and in the blood of Yeshua the Messiah, and commanded us to eat bitter herbs.
.
KORECH, Eating Of The Bitter Herbs With Charoseth: {break the undermost matzah and distribute it with some bitter herbs} Thus did Hillel during the existence of the Holy Temple: he took unleavened bread and bitter herbs, and ate them together, in order to perform the Law, “With unleavened bread and bitter herbs shall they eat it.” {Hillel sandwich} .
SHULAN ORECH, The Passover Supper/meal. .
TZAPHUN, The Eating Of The Afikomen: . {NOTE: Communion may be taken here:} . HA-GEULAH, The Third Cup, The Cup Of Redemption: {Kiddush} Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohanu Melech ha-olam borae pree hagafen. Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Who creates the fruit of the vine. . HALLEL, The Fourth Cup: The Cup Of Praise: {fill fourth cup and recite: Psalms 118, responsive reading:} . LEADER: The Lord hath remembered us, He will bless us, He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who revere the Lord, the small as well as the great: May the Lord increase you, more and more, you and your children. Ye are blessed of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, but the earth hath He given to the children of men. The dead praise not the Lord, nor they who descend into the silent grave. But we will bless the Lord, from henceforth until evermore. Hallelujah.
ALL:
Praise the Lord, all ye nations; praise Him, all ye people; For His mercy prevaileth over us, and the Truth of the Lord endureth forever. Hallelujah. .
LEADER-Ps. 118-21-24, ALL-Ps. 118:26-27, LEADER-Ps. 118:28-29. The Leader Of The Seder Continues:
.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord our God, King of the universe, for the wine, and for the fruit of the vine, and for the produce of the field, and for that desirable, good and spacious land which Thou granted our ancestors to inherit, to eat of its fruit, and be satisfied with its goodness. Have compassion, O Lord, our God, upon us, on Israel Thy people, upon Jerusalem, Thy city, on Zion, the residence of Thy glory, and upon the altar and Thy Temple; rebuild Jerusalem, Thy holy city, speedily in our days. For all these things we thank You, in the Name of Your Son Yeshua the Messiah and all would say Amen.
.
{ALL SAY…}
NEXT YEAR IN [NEW] JERUSALEM!
.
Singing Of Various Songs:
.
{Concerning this part of the service, it is written: AND WHEN THEY HAD SUNG A HYMN, THEY WENT OUT UNTO THE MOUNT OF OLIVES. Matthew 26:30}

NOTES: The bread [matsah], may be blessed with the blessing of the Challah found in the Erev Shabbat Service, {on Bible net}. [Especially before Communion if you’d like].

The bitter-herbs are horse-raddish. You will also need parsley, and Charoseth{which is an apple/honey/nut mixture ground up}, A bone of a lamb-leg represents the lamb that was offered, and a hard -roasted egg, represents the hardness of pharoah’s heart, but, I’ve also heard it represents many other things. These last two can be one each on the center of the table to be explained only, [not eaten of course]. During the Passover meal, simply serve a meal, [but please no ham, Oy!<grin>]. And hopefully that briefly should do it.

Sorry for the lack of information on specifics. And parts of this are 4,000 years old, and most of it over 2,000 years old. Shalom shalom.

OPENING PRAYER:
.
SHABBAT PSALM:
.
OPENING OF THE ARK [ALL RISE]:
[NU.10:35; PS.145:13; IS.2:3]
.
There is no God like Thee O Lord, and there are no deeds like Thine. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom; Thy dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord is King; the Lord was King; the Lord shall be King forever and ever. The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.
.
Father of compassion, do good with Zion according to Your will; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. For we trust in You alone, O King, God, exalted and uplifted, Master of the Worlds.
.
The Ark is opened: before the Torah is removed recite: .
When the Ark would travel, Moshe would say, Arise O Lord, and let Your foes be scattered, let those who hate You flee from You. For from Zion the Torah will come forth and the world of the Lord from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who gave the Torah to His people Israel in His holiness. .
Vie’hee bin’soah haAron viy’omair Moshe. Kumah Adonai v’afutzu ov’chah v’yanusu m’sanechah mepanechah. Kee Mitzeeon taetsae Torah oodvar Adonai miYerushalyim. Baruch shenatan Torah l’amo Yisrael bikdusah-toe.SH’MA: [DEUT.6:4-9; 11:13-21; NUM. 15:37-41]
.
{LEADER RECITES}:
HEAR O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE. BLESSED BE THE NAME OF HIS GLORIOUS MAJESTY FOREVER AND EVER.
.
GREAT IS OUR LORD, HOLY IS HIS NAME.
DECLARE THE GREATNESS OF THE LORD WITH ME, AND LET US EXALT HIS NAME TOGETHER.
.
{all sing}:
SH’MA YISRAEL ADONAI ELOHAENU, ADONAI ECHAD. BARUCH SHAEM K’VOD MAL-CHOO-TO L’OLAM VA’ED. .
HEAR O ISRAEL, THE LORD IS OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE. AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND ALL YOUR MIGHT. LET THESE MATTERS THAT I COMMAND YOU TODAY BE UPON YOUR HEART. TEACH THEM THOUROUGHLY TO YOUR CHILDREN AND SPEAK OF THEM WHILE YOU SIT IN YOUR HOME, WHILE YOU WALK ON THE WAY, WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, AND WHEN YOU RISE UP. BIND THEM AS A SIGN UPON YOUR ARM AND LET THEM BE A SIGN BETWEEN YOUR EYES. AND WRITE THEM ON THE DOORPOSTS OF YOUR HOUSE AND UPON YOUR GATES.
.
AND IT WILL COME TO PASS THAT IF YOU CONTINUALLY HEARKEN TO MY COMMANDMENTS THAT I COMMAND YOU TODAY, TO LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND TO SERVE HIM, WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL – THEN I WILL PROVIDE RAIN FOR YOUR LAND IN IT’S PROPER TIME, THE EARLY RAIN AND THE LATE RAINS, THAT YOU MAY GATHER IN YOUR GRAIN, YOUR WINE, AND YOUR OIL. I WILL PROVIDE GRASS IN YOUR FIELD FOR YOUR CATTLE AND YOU WILL EAT AND BE SATISFIED. BEWARE LEST YOUR HEART BE HARDENED AND YOU TURN ASTRAY AND SERVE GODS OF OTHERS AND BOW TO THEM. THEN THE WRATH OF THE LORD WILL BLAZE AGAINST YOU. HE WILL RESTRAIN THE HEAVEN SO THERE WILL BE NO RAIN AND THE GROUND WILL NOT YIELD IT’S PRODUCE. AND YOU WILL SWIFTLY BE BANISHED FROM THE GOOD LAND WHICH THE LORD GIVES YOU. PLACE THESE WORDS OF MINE UPON YOUR HEART AND UPON YOUR SOUL; BIND THEM FOR A SIGN UPON YOUR ARM AND LET THEM BE A SIGN BETWEEN YOUR EYES. TEACH THEM TO YOUR CHILDREN, TO DISCUSS THEM, WHILE YOU SIT IN YOUR HOME, WHILE YOU WALK ON THE WAY, WHEN YOU RETIRE AND WHEN YOU ARISE. AND WRITE THEM ON THE DOORPOSTS OF YOUR HOUSE AND UPON YOUR GATES [MESUZA]. IN ORDER TO PROLONG YOUR DAYS AND THE DAYS OF YOUR CHILDREN UPON THE GROUND THAT THE LORD HAS SWORN TO YOUR ANCESTORS TO GIVE THEM, LIKE THE DAYS OF THE HEAVEN ON THE EARTH. .
AND THE LORD SPOKE TO MOSHE SAYING; SPEAK TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL AND SAY TO THEM THAT THEY ARE TO MAKE THEMSELVES TZITZIS [FRINGES] ON THE CORNERS OF THEIR GARMENTS, THROUGHOUT THEIR GENERATIONS. AND THEY ARE TO PLACE UPON THE TZITZIS OF EACH CORNER A THREAD OF BLUE. AND IT SHALL BE A REMINDER FOR YOU, THAT YOU MAY SEE IT AND REMEMBER ALL THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD AND PERFORM THEM; AND NOT EXPLORE AFTER YOUR HEART AND AFTER YOUR EYES AFTER WHICH YOU STRAY. SO THAT YOU MAY REMEMBER AND PERFORM ALL MY COMMANDMENTS; AND BE HOLY TO YOUR GOD. I AM THE LORD, YOUR GOD, WHO HAS REMOVED YOU FROM THE LAND OF EGYPT TO BE A GOD TO YOU. I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD – IT IS TRUE. .

Lord of the world, King supreme
Before all creation came to be
When by His will all things were wrought The name of our King was first made known. .
And when this age shall cease to be
He still shall reign in majesty
He was, He is, and He will be
All glorious eternally.
.
Incomparable, the Lord is One
No other can His nature share
Without beginning, without an end
Unto Him, all strength and majesty.
.
He is my living God who saves
My rock when grief or sorrows fall
My banner and my refuge strong
My cup of life whenever I call.
.
And in His hand I place my soul
Both when I sleep and when I wake
And with my soul and body too
God is with me, there is no fear.

NOTE: This is one of several Messianic Shabbat Morning Synagogue Services, parts are 1000’s of years old, and were in use during and before Yeshua’s time.

Shabbat Evening / Havdalah Service & Communion.
Havdalah:
After Shabbat Evening
On the conclusion of a Festival that falls on a week day, the first paragraph, and the blessings over the aromatic spices and the candlelight, are omitted.
Havdalah, marking the distinction between holy and profain, is chanted in the home after dark at the conclusion of the Shabbath or of a Festival while holding a cup of wine in the right hand, (filled to overflowing). {Light Candle}

Behold, God is my Salvation, I trust and am not afraid; for the Lord my God is my strength and song, and He is become my Salvation. Therefore with joy shall you draw water from the well of Salvation. Thine, O Lord, is Salvation; Thy blessing be on Thy people. Selah. Lord of hosts, be with us, God of Jacob, be our high refuge. Selah. Lord of Hosts, happy is the man who trusts in Thee. Lord, Save us, may the King answer us on the day when we call. The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor. So may it be with us. I will lift up the cup of Salvation and proclaim the Name of the Lord. .
Lifting the glass of wine, but not drinking from it: {all sing}:
Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu melech ha-olam, borae pree hagafen. . Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.
.
Before savoring the aromatic spices leader says: Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu melech ha-olam, borae meenay v’sameem. .
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who creates divers spices.
.
Holding the fingers in the light of plaited candle leader cont.: {The three braided candle reminds us of the L-rd, Three Lights, yet burning as One.}
Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu melech ha-olam, borae m’orae ha-aesh. .
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who creates the lights of fire.
.
Pass the Spices; then leader continues… .
{Besides the sweetness of Shabbat, the spices also remind us of when the women went toYeshua’s tomb with spices, early on the first day of the week. [Luke 24:1]} Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu melech ha-olam, hamavdeel bayn kodesh l’chol, bayn or l’choshech bayn Yisrael la-ameem, bayn yom hashvee-ee l’shaeshet y’may ha-ma’aseh. Baruch Atah Adonai, hamavdeel bayn kodesh l’chol. . Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Who makes a distinction between the holy and the profain, light and darkness, Israel and the nations, the seventh day and the six days of labor. Blessed art Thou, Lord who makes a distinction between holy and profain. . HA-MOTSEE: {The rows/stripes of holes in the matsah, reminds us of,…by His stripes we are healed, and,…look on Me Whom they pierced; Is.53:5 & Zech.12:10} . {all sing}: Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu Melech ha-olam, ha-motsee lechem, {matsah}, min ha-arets. . Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who brings forth bread, {matsah}, from the earth. . THE LORD’S SUPPER: . The Lord Yeshua on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread,[matsah], and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take eat, this is My Body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper saying, “This cup is the New Covenant in My Blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. “For as often as you eat this bread,[matsah], and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Therefore whoever eats this bread,[matsah], or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the Body and Blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread,[matsah], and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgement to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we should judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. {From: 1 Cor.11:23-34} . Prayer before Communion: . Pass the Matsah and the Wine: . {Put out flame in the spilt wine while saying…} Yeshua, the Light of the world, poured out His blood in attonement for us, and was buried in the bowels of the earth 3 days… He then rose early on the first day of the week, according to His Word. . {OPTIONAL: Leader lights one more candle & continues} Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu Melech ha-olam, ha-motsee ha-Or min ha-arets. Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who brings forth the Light from the earth. . {all sing}: Behold, God is my Salvation [Yeshua], I will trust and will not be afraid, for the Lord my God is my strength and my song, He also has become my Salvation [Yeshua], for the Lord my God is my strength and my song, He also has become my Salvation [Yeshua]. Li, Li, Li…. .
The prior is the time spoken of in Scripture when the disciples met together to break bread in the evening, where Paul spoke till midnight. .
It was the time when the 1st Century believers met for Havdalah, the closing of Shabbat. There is some speculation that first century Messianic Believers wrote part of this service as we now have it. .
The time would be after sundown on Saturday, which according to the Jewish calendar, would be the beginning of the first day of the week, and the closing of the Shabbat.

Shalom min Yeshua HaMashiach.
