We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Jesus: to know him is to love him

Presidents and Jesus

A wise man will seek counsel from God.

Proverbs 19:20-21

Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Which of our current and potential Presidents look to God for guidance?  Jesus did (Matthew 26).

A good leader leads by example.

It’s illogical to follow a leader who makes rules, but repeatedly breaks rules.

1 John 3:5
You know that He [Jesus] appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.

The best leader has the practice of Servant Leadership.

At its inception, the United States differed from the model of elite “Rulers”, used by other countries.  Instead, we chose an approach of Servant Leadership.  A servantleader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong, in which the goal of the leader is to serve (selflessly).

As an example, consider The Legacy of Max De Pree – an article well worth reading, to understand the nature of a good servant-leader.

Jesus Christ described Himself as a servant, when He said, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” (Mark 10:45)
