God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
The true shepherd spirit is an amalgam of many precious graces. He is hot with zeal, but he is not fiery with passion. He is gentle, and yet he rules his class. He is loving, but he does not wink at sin. He has power over the lambs, but he is not domineering or sharp. He has cheerfulness, but not levity; freedom, but not license; solemnity, but not gloom.

INSTRUCTIONS
* (the skins on look prettier, but skinned will do) Preheat oven to 300
degrees. Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg whites; beat till smooth.
Stir in flour. SPREAD PAPER THIN (I use a dough scraper) and right to the
edges of two well greased cookie pans. Sprinkle the almonds on top. Bake
for 25 minutes, watching very closely. The almonds should be pale brown.
Remove from oven and either cut into squares immediately or let cool and
bread into pieces.
