Ingredients: 3/4 c Butter Or Margarine; 1/2 c Sugar; 2 Eggs; Large; 1 tb Rum; 1 ts Vanilla Extract; 3 tb Milk; 1/2 ts Cinnamon; 2 ts Baking Powder; 2 1/4 c Flour; Unbleached; 1/4 c Almonds; Ground; 1 tb Orange Rind; Grated; 1/4 c Raisins; If Desired

That’s why our eloquence, innovations, and programs are so much less important than we think; that’s why we as pastors must give ourselves to preaching, not programs; and that’s why we need to be teaching our congregations to value God’s Word over programs. Preaching the content and intent of God’s Word is what unleashes the power of God on the people of God, because God’s power for building His people is in His Word, particularly as we find it in the Gospel (Rom. 1:16). God’s Word builds His church. So preaching His Gospel is primary (Mark Dever and Paul Alexander).

INGREDIENTS

3/4	c	Butter Or Margarine
1/2	c	Sugar
2		Eggs; Large
1	tb	Rum

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream butter and sugar.  Beat in eggs, rum, vanilla, and milk.  Mix
cinnamon, baking powder, and flour.  Add flour mixture to butter mixture.
Gently mix in almonds, orange rind, and raisins.  Pour batter into greased
muffin tins, filling half full.  Bake at 375 degrees F. for 25 to 30
minutes, or until browned.
Makes 18 muffins.
