Name: Anzac Biscuits
Ingredients: 100 g Butter (look on the back side of your measuring cup); 1 tb Golden syrup. (any light syrup will do); 1/2 c Sugar; 3/4 Coconut; 3/4 c Rolled oats; 3/4 c Flour; 1 ts Baking soda; 1 tb Hot water

Slave-dread, the wrong type of fear, does not motivate obedience. It causes us to run away from God… Those with slave-dread fear draw back from God. They have no conviction that He is good, that He rewards those who seek Him, or that He has their best interests at heart. All they see is His holiness, His severity, and His hatred of sin, and they run the other way. By contrast son-fear motivates us to pursue God… Those who fear Him as sons obey God and keep His commandments.

INSTRUCTIONS

This recipe is from the Edmonds Cookery book - the cooking bible on 3 1/2
million kiwi bookshelves. I'd love to know if they were the same as the

Melt butter and sugar together in a large saucepan. Cool. Mix sugar,
coconut, rolled oats, and flour together. Stir into saucepan. Dissolve soda
in water and mix in. Place rounded teaspoonfuls on a greased oven tray.
Bake at 350 F (180 C) for 15 minutes. Makes 36. These are chewy and a vry
popular cookie here.
