We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

No one wants to listen to a babbling fool or a person that just wants to talk about himself or a person that can’t take a hint that the other individual wants the conversation to end. None of us want to be a part of a conversation like that! Yet sadly, that might very well characterize the Gospel outreach of the church. Offend with the Gospel, not your lack of manners. Don’t turn the “good news” into “boring news!”
Randy Smith

Do all you can to be reconciled to others, but remember that you cannot force others to do what is right. If you have done everything within your power to resolve a conflict, you have fulfilled your responsibility to God and may stop actively trying to solve the problem (Rom. 12:18)… It is not necessary or wise to waste time, energy, and resources fretting about someone who stubbornly refuses to be reconciled.

In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt; cut in shortening until mixture
resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg yolk and milk; add to flour mixture.
Stir just until dough clings together. Divide dough in half. On a lightly
floured surface, foll half of dough into a 15" X 10" rectangle; transfer to
a greased 15 X 10" baking pan. Set aside. In another bowl, toss together
the filling ingredients; spoon over pastry in pan. Roll out remaining dough
to another 15" X 10" rectangle. Place over filling. Brush with egg white.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire
rack. Combine the powdered sugar and enough water to achieve a drizzling
consistency. Drizzle over warm pastry. Cut into squares. Serve warm or
cold. Delicious! Serves: 20-26 servings, depending on size of cut squares.
