Ingredients: 6 sl Bacon; 2 c Sifted flour; 3 ts Baking powder; 1 tb Sugar; 1/4 ts Salt; 1 Beaten egg; 1 c Milk; 2 tb Bacon fat or melted butter; 1/2 c Grated cheese

We often hear the 'Savior' characteristics of God stressed – His love, mercy, goodness and so on – but the matter of His lordship is absent. The distortion is particularly clear in evangelism. In modern practice the call to repentance is usually called an 'invitation,' which one can obviously accept or refuse. It is offered politely. Seldom do we hear presented God's sovereign demand to repent or His demand for total submission to the authority of His appointed king, Christ Jesus.

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 400&deg;F, prepare pans. Fry the bacon until crisp, drain &
reserve the bacon fat, chop bacon. Stir together the flour, baking powder,
sugar, salt & cheese. Mix the egg, milk & bacon fat or butter. Add the dry
mix along with the bacon to the wet mix until just combined. Mixture will
be somewhat lumpy. Spoon into cups & bake for about 25 mins or until done.
Makes
15    medium or 12 large muffins.
