The exclusive claim of Christianity about Christ is not centered on our belief that Jesus was right about God. It is centered on our claim that God was fully present in Christ to reconcile the world to Himself (2 Cor. 5:18). It is the theological claim about Jesus (that He is God) that makes the spiritual claims of Jesus potent. Jesus' words are right because those words are God's words (Jn. 14:10b). Jesus’ “way” is not superior because it promotes a higher ethic or because it champions values that resonate with our spiritual sensitivities. Jesus' way is true because in Him we find God drawing us to Himself.

INGREDIENTS

2		Egg whites
1/8	ts	Cream of tartar
1	c	Brown Sugar; packed
1/4	c	Walnuts; finely chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Beat 2 egg whites until frothy.  Add 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar, then
gradually beat in 1 cup packed C&H Golden Brown Sugar.  Continue to beat
until stiff.  Spread over unbaked cake batter in pan.  Sprinkle with 1/4
cup finely chopped walnuts.  Bake with cake as directed. Enough to cover
one 13 x 9-inch cake

Here’s exactly what the Constitution says about the subject: Article VI: “No religious test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” Amendment 1: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” In other words: 1. The government is not allowed to make people take a religious test in order to qualify for holding federal office; 2. Congress is not allowed to set up an official national church; and 3. Congress is not allowed to stop people from practicing their religions. These three rules are meant to protect your liberty to follow God, not to abolish it. That famous slogan about a “wall of separation” just isn’t there.
