God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
The TV is my shepherd, my spiritual life shall want, It makes me to sit down and do nothing for the cause of Christ. It demandeth my spare time. It restoreth my desire for the things of the world. It keepeth me from studying the truth of God’s Word. It leadeth me in the path of failure to attend God’s house. Yea, though I live to be a hundred, I will fear no rental; My “Telly” is with me, its sound and vision comfort me. It prepareth a program for me, even in the presence of visitors. Its volume shall be full. Surely comedy and commercials shall follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in spiritual poverty forever.

Pumpkin slices; peeled, 1/2-inch thick
Yellow onions; peeled, sliced
Salt & pepper to taste
Melted butter or olive oil
Brown sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
I can't give the amounts on this one. It's much too simple for that. It's
just an old-fashioned way of serving the great American squash. Make as
little or as much as you like. Your kids will love it.
Clean and peel some pumpkin and cut it into thick slices. Arrange them in
a buttered baking dish and add sliced onions. Add salt and pepper and a bit
of melted butter or olive oil. Repeat with another layer and top with a few
spoons of brown sugar.
Bake, uncovered, at 350° until tender, about 30 minutes. You may wish to
cook it longer.
I generally serve this as a vegetable dish.
