Name: Basil's Garlic Mayonnaise
Ingredients: 1 Whole garlic bulb; Olive oil and honey to coat the garlic; 4 Egg yolks; 1/4 c Red wine vinegar; 1/4 c Dijon mustard; 3 c Vegetable oil; 1 ts Salt; 1 ts White pepper

Sanctification means intense concentration on God’s point of view. It means every power of body, soul, and spirit is chained and kept for God’s purpose only. It will cause an intense narrowing of all our interests on earth, and an immense broadening of all our interests in God. Are we prepared for God to do all in us that He separated us for? The reason some of us have not entered into the experience of sanctification is that we have not realized its meaning from God’s standpoint. Sanctification means being made one with Jesus so that the disposition that ruled Him will rule us. Jesus has prayed that we might be one with Him as He is one with the Father. The one and only characteristic of the Holy Spirit in a person is a strong family likeness to Jesus Christ and freedom from everything that is unlike Him.

INGREDIENTS

1		Whole garlic bulb
		Olive oil and honey to coat the garlic
4		Egg yolks
1/4	c	Red wine vinegar
1/4	c	Dijon mustard
3	c	Vegetable oil
1	ts	Salt
1	ts	White pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Serve with Basil's Crab Cakes, Louisiana-Style.
1. Cut off about 1/2-inch of the top of the garlic bulb (the tips of the
cloves will be barely visible) and peel off the excess outer papery skin.
Rub bulb with a little olive oil and honey to keep it from drying out.
Place bulb, top side down, on a cookie sheet.
2. Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven until soft, about 20 minutes.
3. When cool, scoop out garlic into a food processor. Add egg yolks,
vinegar and mustard; process for 3 minutes. With machine running, slowly
add oil and process until mixture thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes.
4. Season with salt and white pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Altar call evangelism rarely produces lasting fruit. Carson calls attention to this disturbing pattern in his book, A Call for Spiritual Reformation: “To what extent do those who profess faith at world-class evangelistic meetings actually persevere, over a period of five years from their initial profession of faith? When careful studies have been undertaken, the most commonly agreed range is 2 percent to 4 percent; that is, between 2 percent and 4 percent of those who make a profession of faith at such meetings are actually persevering in the faith five years later, as measured by such external criteria as attendance at church, regular Bible reading, or the like” (Baker, 1992, p. 24).
