God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
We secretly wish we could have a “vicarious” Christianity, and could be good by proxy, and have everything done for us. Anything that requires exertion and labor is entirely against the grain of our hearts. But the soul can have “no gains without pains”… To be a Christian it will cost a man his love of ease.

INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the outer stalks of celery until only the smaller, paler inner
"heart" remains. Save the outer stalks for another use. Trim the bottom off
the heart, leaving enough to hold it together. Leave the leaves intact. Cut
in half lengthwise, and place in a saucepan with the chicken broth. Bring
to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer, and cook covered for about 30 minutes
or until tender. Serves 2.
NOTES : This recipe is quick and easy, and you will probably want to add i=
t to your standard repertoire of vegetable side dishes. It goes great with
our steak this week, but it also works with virtually any chicken or
seafood entree as well. Bon appetit from the Chef and staff at World Wide
