Ingredients: 2 c Cooked lundberg brown rice; (short grain or long grain); 1 1/2 ts Baking powder; 1/2 c Butter or margarine; 3/4 c Coconut; 3/4 c Sugar; 2 ts Cinnamon; 1 Egg; beaten; 1 tb Sugar; 1 ts Vanilla; 1 c Pecans or walnuts; finely chopped; 1 c Sifted flour

In effect, by accepting Satan's statement, Eve was calling God a liar, even though she might not have recognized those implications of her action. She accepted Satan as the truth-teller and God as the prevaricator. By partaking of the fruit she was implicitly stating her belief that Satan was more interested in her welfare than God was. Yielding to the temptation implied that she accepted Satan's analysis of the situation instead of God's.

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream together butter and sugar. Add beaten egg, vanilla, mix well. Add
sifted dry ingredients. Fold in cooked rice and coconut. In another bowl,
mix together 1 tablespoon sugar, cinnamon and nut meats. Drop cookie dough
by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle top of each cookie with
cinnamon-nut mixture. Bake in 350 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until
cookies are a golden brown in color. Makes 2 dozen.
