Ingredients: 1 c Sifted flour; 1/2 ts Baking powder; 1/8 ts Baking soda; 1/2 ts Salt; 1/2 c Chopped nuts; 1/3 c Butter or margarine; 1 c Brown sugar; 1 Egg, slightly beaten; 1 ts Vanilla; 1/2 c Chocolate bits

It is by far the most amazing miracle in the whole Bible – far more amazing than the resurrection and more amazing than the creation of the universe. The fact that the infinite, omnipotent, eternal Son of God could become man and join Himself to a human nature forever, so that infinite God became one person with finite man, will remain for eternity the most profound miracle and the most profound mystery in all the universe.

1	c	Sifted flour
1/2	ts	Baking powder
1/8	ts	Baking soda

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine first five ingredients and set aside.  Melt butter in saucepan, add
brown sugar, mix well.  Cool slightly. Add beaten egg and vanilla, blend.
Add flour mixture slowly, beating with each addition.
Spread in greased 9x9 inch pan.  Sprinkle chocolate bits on top. Bake at
350 for 20 to 25 minutes.  Do not overcook. Cool in pan. Cut into bars.
