God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Scripture does nonetheless prescribe the rod of discipline as a necessary aspect of parenting. In fact, Scripture flatly contradicts modern opponents of corporal punishment: “He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly” (Proverbs 13:24). “Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him” (22:15). “You shall beat him with a rod, and deliver his soul from hell” (23:14; see also 10:13; 19:18).

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350. In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, peanut
butter, sugar and brown sugar, until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine
flour, baking powder, and soda, and add to peanut butter mixture, beating
until combined. Divide dough into 60 equal pieces. This is made simpler by
first dividing into 6 pieces, then each of those into 10 pieces. For each
cookie, shape a piece of dough around a candy piece, forming a ball. Place
on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly
browned. Cool on a rack. 60 cookies
