Worship services in many churches today are like a merry-go-round. You drop a token in the collection box; it’s good for a ride. There’s music and lots of motion up and down. The ride is carefully timed and seldom varies in length. Lots of good feelings are generated, and it is the one ride you can be sure will never be the least bit threatening or challenging. But though you spend the whole time feeling as if you’re moving forward, you get off exactly where you got on.

8oz packages of Cream Cheese

tb
Butter
2/3

Crushed peppermint candy
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 325F. Combine first 3 ingredients and press into a 9-inch
springform pan. Blend sour cream, sugar, eggs, flour and both extracts
until smooth. Add cream cheese and 2 T butter. Stir in crushed candy.
Pour into crust and bake on lowest rack of oven for 50-60 minutes or until
firm. Allow to cool (top may crack) and refrigerate overnight. Remove from
pan and serve.
Top with sweetened whip cream and garnish with candy cane if desired.
