INSTRUCTIONS
Place apples in a bowl with water and lemon juice. In a sauce pan
using low heat, melt sugar two to three ounces at a time until golden
brown and smooth. Drain the apples and add to the caramel mixture.
Simmer until the apples become translucent. Reserve apple mixture
prior to service. top with caramel apple mixture. Just in case, you
might want to double up on this recipe for seconds.
Suggested Beverage: Coffee
Serving Ideas : Valentines Day Dessert
NOTES : Reserve the caramel apple mixture for one hour prior to
service so that the juice from the apples melts and joins the caramel
mixture. A good coffee with character is perfect for this dessert.
For example a Colombian Supremo, Kenya AA or Mocha Java would be
perfect. Enjoy!
