God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
[One] objection to the study of theology is that it deceives Christians from simple faith in the Bible. The underlying premise of this objection is that believing is good and knowing is bad. But in fact the Bible lauds both believing and knowing (Rev. 2:23; Matt. 22:37). God has gone to the trouble of revealing information about Himself in creation and His Word. Is it not the height of irreverence to say we should ignore this information? Christianity is about truth and one important way to relate to truth is to know it (Paul Thorsell).

INSTRUCTIONS
Mash eggs and mayo together. Spread evenly in a springform pan. Sprinkle
with chopped onion, to taste. Mix sour cream and cream cheese together and
spread over onions. Refrigerate. Chill thoroughly. Sprinkle caviar on top.
Remove sides of pan. Serve with crackers or toast points. Let everyone
spread their own.
*Lumpfish caviar is usually available in the gourmet section of the
supermarket and costs between $3 and $4. The black kind looks especially
attractive, but the red kind is more in keeping with Christmas or St.
Valentine's Day. I paid about $1 more for some whitefish caviar, because I
like the flavor better. If you have money to burn, spend more for your
caviar, but these inexpensive types are fine to just give some flavor to
the rest of the ingredients.
When I make this for just hubby and myself instead of for a crowd, I cut
the ingredients down to about 1/3. I then put it in a custard dish that I
have lined with saran wrap, packing the mixtures well. When ready to serve,
I invert the mold on a plate, remove the wrap and then sprinkle on the
caviar.
