God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Value all books in proportion as they are agreeable to Scripture. Those that are nearest to it are the best, and those that are farthest from it, and most contrary to it, the worst.

Stone cherries. Crush the fruit. Boil in their juice till tender, about 10
minutes. Add sugar, stir well to dissolve. Boil for another 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove from heat & let stand, covered, for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir & skim if

A Message from our Provider:
“We can do nothing, we say sometimes, we can only pray. That, we feel, is a terribly precarious second-best. So long as we can fuss and work and rush about, so long as we can lend a hand, we have some hope; but if we have to fall back upon God — ah, then things must be critical indeed! #A.J. Gossip”
