INSTRUCTIONS
A very ole recipe Apeck of black wild cherries, soaked in cold water
for 24 hours. Put them in a demifobn ( think its a bowl or cup..) add
two pounds of brown sugar and two quarts of black berries and a gallon
of the best New England Rum you can find, the older the better.
Sailors were given this at Christmas in 1864, the soldiers in the
