God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
My conclusion is that the local church is to be governed by a plurality of individuals who are described in the New Testament as elders, insofar as they hold an office of great dignity and importance (perhaps even with an allusion to age or at least spiritual maturity), or bishops, insofar as they exercise oversight of the body of Christ, or pastors, insofar as they spiritually feed, care for, and exercise guardianship over the flock of God.

INSTRUCTIONS
A classic Japanese grill. For a light summer supper, serve with your
favorite salad. Although the instructions below are for a broiler, the
chicken is even better cooked over a charcoal grill. Cooking time may vary
slightly
1. Arrange chicken, skin side up in a single layer in a shallow dish.
2. Combine soy sauce, sherry, sugar, garlic, and ginger; pour over chicken.
Marinate in refrigerator, turning once or twice, for 2 hours.
3. Preheat broiler. Remove chicken from marinade. Spray rack in broiler pan
with vegetable spray; place chicken on rack. Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat,
turning once and basting with marinade, about 10 minutes.
