Ingredients: 2 Whole chicken breasts; skinned; boned, cooked and cubed; 1/2 c Italian dressing; 1 md Green apple; cubed; 1/4 c Thinly sliced celery; 1/4 c Sliced almonds; toasted; 3 tb Raisins; 2 Seeded; peeled and cubed; 4 Pita breads; halved; 8 Pieces curly greenleaf lettuce; Cherry tomatoes; optional; 1 c Plain low-fat yogurt (up to); 1 ts Curry powder; 1/4 ts Mace

Although the tithe is not mentioned (in the New Testament), the giving of weekly offerings is (1 Cor. 16:2). And more importantly, it is generally the case that in the New Testament the obligations of the Old Testament legislation are heightened rather than lessened. That is, the law is interpreted in the fullest measure. So while we are not required to give a specific tenth of our income, it is hard to think of a normal Christian, blessed with the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, doing less. Under reasonable circumstances any true believer in Christ should give more than the tenth, for all we have is the Lord's.

Ministers must know how to lose arguments on non-essential matters. Care must be taken not to harangue others into silence. Preachers have a way with words. Their whole career is related to the skillful communication of ideas. It is a disgraceful fact that some ministers love to talk and have a habit of dominating discussion on every subject. Even when ignorant on an issue, a preacher can usually out-talk knowledgeable men. Thus in a controversy it is possible to silence men by sheer force of verbiage without convincing them. How exemplary would it be if all ministers exercised self-control over their tongues in the church! It is to be feared that some men are able to handle texts of Scripture who cannot discipline themselves.
