Ingredients: 3/4 c Shortening; 1/2 c Sugar; 1/2 ts Baking powder; 1 Egg; 2 ts Vanilla; 1/2 ts Almond extract; 1 3/4 c Flour; 1/4 c Brown sugar; 1/2 ts Salt; 1/2 c Almonds, chopped (opt); 42 Chocolate kisses(hersheys)

These, with a host of other desires, all fueled by the autonomy and self-centeredness of the sin nature, can surely lead the teenager astray.

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream shortening,and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, extracts and beat well.
Add flour, baking powder, salt,and nuts. Mix well. From dough into 1 inch
balls. Press each ball around a kiss so kiss is completely enclosed. Bake
on UNGREASED cookie sheet 12 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE!!!!! Cool on rack.
Makes 3 1/2-4 dozen.
