INSTRUCTIONS
>From the "New Basics" cookbook
1. Halve and core the apples, and cut into 1 inch chunks.
2. Combine the apples, water and lemon juice in 2 1/2 quart casserole.
3. Toss the sugar and cinnamon together and stir into apple mixture.
4. Cook, uncovered, at full power for 5 minutes. Stir, pressing the apples
into the liquid, and return to microwave. Cook another 5 minutes.
5. Using a potato masher, coarsley mast the apples, stirring them into the
liquid. Allow to cool to room temp. and refrigerate.
Serves 4.
