Ingredients: 1/4 c Walnuts; 2 c Pitted dates; 1/2 c Sultana raisins; 1 ts Grated lemon rind; if desired; 1/2 ts Cinnamon

Anger and bitterness are formidable detriments to biblical love, harmonious relationships, and maturity in Christ. Failing to put off anger and bitterness grieves the Holy Spirit, gives Satan an opportunity in your life, obscures your witness to others, and disrupts the unity in the Body of Christ. Dealing biblically with anger and bitterness requires wholehearted obedience to God’s Word in every circumstance and with every person, even if your feelings dictate otherwise.

INGREDIENTS

1/4	c	Walnuts
2	c	Pitted dates
1/2	c	Sultana raisins
1	ts	Grated lemon rind; if desired
1/2	ts	Cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

Steel Knife: Chop walnuts coarsely, about 4 or 5 seconds. Empty bowl.
Process dates with raisins, rind and cinnamon until minced, about 15 to 20
seconds. Add nuts with 1 or 2 quick on/off turns.
Yield: about 2 cups filling.
May be prepared in advance and refrigerated or frozen.

But in the view of Genesis 2 – and in our experience in ministering to singles – the greater danger is what will happen to the man if he doesn’t marry. It is not good for a single man to develop selfish and otherwise sinful habits. It is not good for a man to grow older without the sanctifying influences of a wife and children. It is not good for a man to battle with sexual frustrations. (The same things might be said about a woman, too, but the Bible is specifically talking here about the man.) What is good for a man is to seek a relationship that will blossom into marriage – the sooner in adult life, the better (Richard and Sharon Phillips).
