Name: Date Pudding
Ingredients: 3 Eggs; 3/4 ts Salt; 3/4 c Sugar; 1 c Cake meal; 1/2 c Chopped walnuts or pecans; 1 c Chopped pitted dates; Grease for the mold

“Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 15:50). Entrance to heaven requires a redeemed body. The body must be rid of the law of sin at work in its members. At the present time, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. The day is coming, however, when instead of being a hindrance to the spirit, the body will be the perfect vessel for the expression of my glorified mind, will, and emotions. Right now, we wear our souls on the inside. But one day we will be “clothed in righteousness” as we wear our souls on the outside, brilliant and glorious.

INGREDIENTS

3		Eggs
3/4	ts	Salt
3/4	c	Sugar
1	c	Cake meal
1/2	c	Chopped walnuts or pecans
1	c	Chopped pitted dates
		Grease for the mold

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium sized mixing bowl beat the eggs with the salt. Gradually add in
the sugar and continue beating until thick and light. Blend the cake meal
into the egg mixture. Add the nuts and dates. Mix until just blended. Turn
the mixture into a 1 quart greased mold. Cover. Steam on a rack in a deep
pan in 2 inches of boiling water for about 2 hours. Add additional boiling
water as necessary. Remove from the water. Unmold into a serving dish, and
serve at once. Serves 8.
