Source: _Aunt Daisy's NEW COOKERY_ (1947) Rub butter into flour and
oatmeal, add sugar, salt and soda.  Bind with the beaten egg. Put dough on
pastry board, sprinkled with oatmeal, and roll out. Sprinkle lightly with
oatmeal, roll it in, then cut into shapes. Bake in fairly hot oven.
