INGREDIENTS

200 g Soft butter
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 T Golden syrup
2 t Vanilla essence
2 Eggs
1 1/4 c Flour
1 1/2 c Coconut
1 1/2 c Toasted breadcrumbs
2 t Baking powder
1 c Chocolate chips
2 T Cocoa powder
1 t Almond essence
1/2 c Chopped blanched almonds
1/2 c Chopped glace cherries
1/4 c Toasted breadcrumbs

INSTRUCTIONS

Place butter, sugar, golden syrup, vanilla and eggs in a bowl. Mix to
combine.  Add flour, coconut, breadcrumbs and baking powder. Mix until
combined.  Divide mixture into two and add first mixture to one portion
and  second mixture to remaining portion. Combine well.  Take a
tablespoonful at a time and place on an oven tray and roll  gently.
Flatten with a fork.  Bake at 180 C for 10 to 15 minutes or until
