Name: Dynamite Cheese Cake
Ingredients: 1 c Graham cracker crumbs (or vanilla cookies); 1/2 c Ground nuts; 1/3 c Sugar; 1/4 c Margarine; 3 pk (8oz) cream cheese; softened; 1 1/2 c Sugar; 1 Lemon , juice of; 6 lg Eggs; 1 ts Vanilla; 1/2 ts Almond extract; 1 pt Sour cream

Where once there was trust, with joy, honesty and spontaneity, now there might be aloofness, guardedness, even resentment. To make matters worse, attempts at reconciliation can be ignored or even refused. That is when, it seems to me, it is time to turn away. Turning away is not our first response, of course. But it must be a valid, if undesirable, option. After all, we can’t force people to be open, to talk, to reconsider. Until the Holy Spirit changes hearts — I have reluctantly concluded that there really is a time to turn away. Yes, it is a defeat for the gospel. But what else can one do? All that’s left is trusting the Lord, referring the matter to the judgment seat of Christ, who alone sees all things perfectly... Sometimes all one can do is not make a situation worse. That’s hard. But the Lord can do amazing things with brokenhearted people who have nothing left but a longing for His glory in this messy world.

INGREDIENTS

1	c	Graham cracker crumbs (or vanilla cookies)
1/2	c	Ground nuts
1/3	c	Sugar

1		Lemon , juice of
6	lg	Eggs
1	ts	Vanilla
1/2	ts	Almond extract
1	pt	Sour cream

INSTRUCTIONS

CRUST
CAKE
Crust: Mix together with hands and press into an 8" springform pan,
covering bottom and 1-inch up the sides, set aside.
Cake: Cream sugar and cheese till smooth, get out all lumps. Add eggs 1 at
a time, beating only until incorporated. Add remaining ingredients and
blend well. Pour into pan and bake at 325 for 1 hour. Turn off heat and
leave in oven with door closed for 1 additional hour, DO NOT OPEN DOOR!
Cool completely and refrigerate. (Can be frozen)
Cake is moist enough not to require toppings. It's good with fresh sliced
fruit or berries very impressive with glazed whole strawberries on top

You can do all kinds of religious things in the flesh. The flesh can preach a sermon. The flesh can sing in the choir. The flesh can act as an usher. The flesh can lead people to Christ. Did you know that? The flesh can go out and be very zealous in its witnessing and amass a terribly impressive list of people won to Christ, scalps to hang on a belt. The flesh can do these things but it is absolutely nauseating in the eyes of God. It is merely religious activity. There is nothing wrong with what is being done, but what is terribly wrong is the power being relied upon to do it (Ray Stedman).
