Cream cheese

Cinnamon

Diced peeled apples
1/4
c
Slivered almonds
Whipped cream for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 440. Cream butter, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla.
Blend in flour. Spread on bottom and sides of 9 inch springform pan.
Combine cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and blend
until smooth. Spread evenly over pastry lining. Combine 1/3 cup sugar and
cinnamon and toss with apples to coat evenly. Arrange apples over cream
cheese filling. Sprinkle almonds evenly over the top. Bake 10 minutes then
reduce heat to 400. Bake 25 minutes longer. Cool before removing springform
pan rim. Refrigerate until chilled then garnish with whipped cream if
desired.
