INSTRUCTIONS
Microwave cream cheese on high approximately 10-15 seconds. Cut up large
peach pieces in pie filling and stir together, adding cinnamon. Makes 1
cup.
Other flavors of cream cheese I like, and which could be made in fat free
and low fat versions very easily:
Raspberry (use raspberry all fruit preserves)
Raspberry Chocolate Chip (the version the bagel place makes is FULL FAT. I
got some by mistake once and it was really good, but I'm going to try it in
fat free and see if I can improve it.)
Apple Cinnamon
I really only go for the sweet flavors, but I would imagine that any
variety of great results could be had by stirring in packages of salad
dressing mix with the cream cheese, too. Also, some dry soup mixes would
probably work.
We often have a couple dozen of the fresh bagels from my husband's work in
the freezer. We just cut them in half, put them in a freezer bag, and stick
them in there. When we take them out, we put them under the broiler for
about 5 minutes to toast/thaw them. They get too rubbery in the microwave,
so if you want to thaw them without toasting, just wrap them in foil first.
