TO SERVE
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4
To make the tart, sieve the flour and salt into a bowl. Crumble in the
butter, mix in the sugar, egg yolk and water. Mix into a ball and chill for
about 30 mionutes. Roll out thinly and use to line some flan rings. Bake in
the oven for about 10 minutes until brown.
For the filling, boil the vanilla and milk together. Mix the eggs and sugar
together and then mix in the flour. Pour half the milk into the egg
mixture, then pour that back into the milk pan with the rest of the milk.
Cook for about 1 minute. Fill each tart with the hot or cold custard,
garnish with the fruit of your choice.
